How often do we rehearse?

The aim is to have a regular group that meets to rehearse, play and enjoy each other’s company. Every 4 to 6 weeks, for 3 hours on Sundays, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

To work on the parts and improve ensemble playing, I hold rehearsals with the respective wind sections every 4-6 weeks. These take place in my room at Schwedenstraße 14.

Course content and required skills

Any adult with an instrument who wants to make music with like-minded people and get to know big band music is welcome to participate.

You should already have good music reading skills or chord reading skills, and enjoy reading music.

• I will send you the sheet music and recordings for practice in advance by email. If you wish, you can also take a private lesson with me for a better overview and further tips.
• When there are many registrations, I sometimes assign two people to the same position, with two players sometimes playing one part together and sometimes taking turns.
• If there are fewer registrations, the arrangement will still work. If your instrument is not included in the “classical” arrangement (see below), I will create the sheet music for you individually (violin, bassoon, oboe, harp, etc.).

Rehearsal times and costs

Rehearsals lasting 90 minutes for the respective wind instrument sections, cost €35, to be confirmed.
